  • An Air Filter Designed to Trap and Kill the Coronavirus

    Researchers from UH, in collaboration with others, have designed a “catch and kill” air filter that can trap and instantly kill the virus responsible for COVID-19.

  • From creating drugs to block COVID-19’s entry into the body, to developing vaccines that include inhalation and injection options, UH battles the global pandemic in the lab.

  • The Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design and its alumni are leading the effort to manufacture face shields and other PPE parts for frontline health care workers at Houston hospitals.
